CLOT and adidas Originals are back with the CLOT SUPERSTAR BREATHE, exploring a new vision of fashion and comfort in a breath of fresh air.
The new CLOT SUPERSTAR BREATHE is designed around the concept of “Breathe In, Breathe Out” and continues the DNA of the “Breathe” series created by the 2015 “kzkLOT” project, to convey the idea of connecting reality and the inner world through breathing and finding inner balance.
The collaboration reinterprets the iconic SUPERSTAR shoe through innovative design elements that emphasize the perfect combination of comfort and functionality. The upper features mint-colored vintage suede and mesh, adding a touch of lightness and tranquility to the serene autumn season. Every detail of the shoe is tied to the idea of ‘breathing’ and incorporates the design concept of balancing yin and yang. The signature three-stripes adorned under the mesh on the upper of the left and right shoe have their own characteristics. The left and right shoes feature distinct characteristics that embody the 'Breathe In, Breathe Out' concept. Instead of traditional leather panels, the three stripes are intricately stitched into the material using a zig-zag pattern, resulting in a clean and minimalist aesthetic. The left shoe represents externality and dynamism, showcasing tonal 'Mint' stripes outlined with zig-zag stitching, along with the word "SUPERSTAR" boldly printed on the side. In contrast, the right shoe symbolizes introspection and inclusiveness, featuring vibrant fluorescent green stripes beneath the mesh, complemented by the Chinese characters for 'CLOT' on the side.
The design language of “Breathe In Breathe Out”, through the philosophical concept of yin and yang, gives the shoes the function and beauty of breathing in synchronization with the body and the environment. This not only emphasizes the harmonious interaction with the outside world, but also exhibits the wearer's pursuit of internal and external balance. The new CLOT SUPERSTAR BREATHE also combines a serrated sole with an antiqued half-shell toe, presenting a unique vintage aesthetic in a fresh silhouette.
