Matthew Williams debuted his first ever runway show for ALYX, and cemented a name change as well. No longer just ALYX, the American designer has renamed the popular label as 1017 ALYX 9SM.

While the core of the brand is still the same, this is a huge moment in Williams' career. Instead of showing off anything too radical, Williams took the opportunity to reflect on all of his past work and to solidify his brand's codes. Now based in Italy, Williams plans to continue showing in Paris. 

Featuring ALYX's tried-and-true industrial-inspired aesthetic, pieces included technical garments vests, front-pouches, hoodies over caps, ponchos and cargo pants. Of course, William's background in denim was also in full force. The collection also featured collaborations with the likes of Nike, Vibram, Mackintosh and Majocchi.
