COLETTE MARKS THE END OF AN ERA
Today marks the end of an era for cult fashion destination Colette founded 20 years ago by Colette Roussaux and run also by daughter Sarah Andelman. Always ahead of the game, discovering and offering unique brands to the world, Colette set a new benchmark in fashion retail. Identified by its minimal two circles in the perfect Pantone 293 C blue, the three-storey boutique on 213 Rue Saint-Honoré never ceased to surprise us combining worlds of art, music, innovative design and fashion.
One of the first pioneers of limited-edition collaborations between street and luxury fashion, the Parisian institution will be missed among many. Running a series of different pop ups in 2017, the final installation for the boutique paid homage to its first window display two decades ago featuring blue butterflies. The boutique always stayed true to its vision of providing the most desired offerings without selling out. As a stockist of CLOT, Colette will be very much missed.
