Dr. Woo has become the most sought after tattoo artist in the world with a cult following amongst Hollywood's elite. His desire to work creatively in other areas includes his collaboration with CLOT last year and now, a new chapter for the Chuck 70s with Converse. 

“I wanted something clean and not obvious or expected of me,” says Dr. Woo of his collaboration with Converse where he reinvents the Chuck 70s through his story of the spider and the fly. The creativity in the shoe exemplifies how Woo brings subjects to life whether it be on the body or on an everyday item that he has worn throughout his life, the Chuck 70. Dr. Woo says that he used to "draw all over Chucks, tear 'em up. I tried to hold on to old pairs, but they always seemed to vanish like my youth..." 

The story of the spider and the fly reinvents the Chuck 70s canvas with a detailed and minimalist line approach featuring embroidered spiders to explore the artists' concept. The narrative can be playfully interpreted by the wearer where every stain, scuff and natural wear adds to every shoe. Dr. Woo says that the key is to wear them "'til they are destroyed." 

To celebrate his collaboration with Converse, Dr. Woo personally tattooed, signed and numbered a very limited edition of leather Chuck 70s that were available at a private event at Maxfield on January 17, 2018.
