Known for fusing Japanese textiles with American silhouettes, Tokyo-based label NEEDLES has presented a collection imbued with ‘70s vintage aesthetics for the Spring Summer 2022 season.

From casual tees to collar shirts, basketball shorts to distressed jean jacket, the collection offers a diverse offering of easy, versatile designs suitable for a fine leisurely weekend. Patterns, a key design element in the collection, come in an assortment of eye-catching designs from striped to plaid, floral and psychedelic prints. Striped T-shirts can be found in contrasting hues, while collar shirts and shorts come in leopard and abstract prints for a Thai-inspired vibe. Highlight of the collection, meanwhile, include the series of S/S Classic Shirt, Cardigan jacket and W.U.S.C. pants—standout pieces in the range—all covered in paisley jacquard. 

Patterns aside, NEEDLES' signature butterfly motif also runs through the collection, appearing in embroideries scattered on caps, work shirts, and denim pieces and more. Last but not least is the brand's iconic 7-cut shirts, each individually cut and sewn using vintage fabrics from different sources for one-of-a-kind results.
