SUICOKE Makes a Splash with its New Spring Summer 2018 Collection

In modern times, incredible items don’t remain hidden for long; and what was once considered a mysterious cult brand now attracts a popular fanbase. Revving up for spring and summer, SUICOKE launches a new collection of performance sandals for those who want a stylish warm-weather alternative to sneakers.

Launched in 2006, SUICOKE grew from humble beginnings of creating small accessories and unique novelty goods like hand-painted matryoshka dolls, to creating some of the most desirable and sought-after sandals in the business. When the Japanese brand partnered with like-minded Italian manufacturer Vibram® to develop original footwear using the highest-quality materials and construction, they had just designed something truly amazing.

Since 2014, after extensive research and development, the Vibram® Morflex sole is now a staple on all SUICOKE models. This rubber outsole features repeated rows of horizontal grooves which provide sufficient traction. The Morflex sole, combined with the Vibram® VI-MF compound footbed, work together to support the wearer with superb cushioning, shock-absorption, stability, and flexibility -- without sacrificing the comfort of a lightweight sandal. Combining such technologies with a minimalistic, utilitarian design is inherent to Japanese fashion, and allows SUICOKE to continue to flourish as an industry leader.

Most of the new models utilise neoprene and nylon uppers to keep weight low and breathability high. Because of anticipated usage around pools and beaches in hot climates, these materials also help keep feet dry by keeping water out to begin with and wicking moisture away from the skin. Certain models (denoted by a “-Cab” suffix on the model name) use an antibacterial EVA footbed to prevent against microbial growth -- a desirable attribute for people who are especially prone to perspiration or who wish to wear their SUICOKE sandals without socks for extended periods of time.

No stranger to collaboration, SUICOKE has worked with brands like Brain Dead and P.A.M, as well as renowned fashion designers John Elliott and Nigel Cabourn. CLOT has teamed with SUICOKE to design several exclusive models in the past, one of which was seen on the feet of style pioneer and rapper A$AP Rocky. Upholding this strong tradition, keep an eye on your radar for an exclusive CLOT x SUICOKE collaboration slated for summer 2018, which was featured in the NYFW PAST.PRESENT.FUTURE show. The new Spring Summer 18 Collection "La Pura Vida" by SUICOKE will hit the shelves of select JUICE locations, as well as CLOT.com on April 26th.
