CLOT x Converse
From Highland Park to Hollywood, Los Angeles is the city that sets the bar, reinventing culture from street style to sport to celebrity on the daily. To celebrate this spirit, Converse has partnered with four LA-based streetwear brands—each representing a unique Los Angeles community—for fresh takes on our most iconic courtside silhouettes, leveraging premium materials, clean lines, and casual flamboyance.
“Hip-hop and basket are my filters for this collection,” said Edison Chen, CLOT’s Creative Director. He believes that “young people can use basketball as a gateway to many things; from learning skills and dedication to having a sense of being a team and crew to having a sense of wanting to represent yourself with your fashion and also maturing into an adult.”
Following up on last year’s successful Converse x CLOT One Star & the Converse x CLOT Fastbreak, CLOT & Converse are back at it again. This time though CLOT’s creative director Edison Chen took a stab at his own interpretation of two iconic Converse shoes; the Chuck 70 Hi & the vintage One Star. Being huge basketball fans at CLOT we wanted to bring the original basketball shoe to the street while adding a little touch of luxury with premium details like the herringbone knit upper. The vintage One Star silhouette features a navy and grey fuzzy suede upper a tan colour mudguard, an off-white midsole with a touch of black at the sole’s toe area. The CONVERSE x CLOT collaboration is more than just a twin pack of shoes, it also encompasses four pieces of colour matching apparel; Tee, Hoodie & a Tracksuit.
