Vans was first created by Paul and Jim Van Doren in 1966, quickly being adopted in the skate scene by a group of pioneers called the Z-Boys from California, which included Stacy Peralta, Jay Adams, Peggy Oki and others. Skaters automatically adopted the signature shoes as it offered skaters more protection yet still giving enough ‘board-feel’ for the skater. 

Over the years, Vans has come out with many different models of shoes that have really put a mark in the skate industry, with shoes like Authentics, Era, Old Skools, Sk8-Hi and Slip-Ons. Establishing itself not only as an iconic skate shoe brand but as a famous life-style brand that everyone would be able to recognise. This spiralled into many unique capsules collaborations with popular figures and brands in different industries, from the distinctive "Cut And Paste" capsule pack to the bright Anderson .Paak collaboration.
