The Nike Air More Money silhouette is a remix between Nike's Air More Uptempo sole with Nike's 1996 Air Money upper. With the launch of the Air More Money in Black/White featuring a mix of premium nubuck and mesh today, we look back at the original silhouettes that came before the hybrid.

It was a moment in history where the Nike Air More Uptempo emerged back in the 1996 Chicago Bulls Championship run and the Olympics the same year, worn by Scottie Pippen. The timeless classic was donned in navy and white. Pippen launched his very own signature line with Nike from the Air Pippen to the Air Pippen V before the Air More Uptempos made its statement in representing its own personality.

The iconic 3M "AIR" inspired by pop art and graffiti and Air bubble from heel to toe turned heads from basketball fans and players alike. Hypebeast stated that designer of the sneaker Wilson Smith described the model to be, "an extension of the environment. Ideal for the vertical player who needed the lockdown and abundance of cushioning."

One of the hottest collaborations of 2017, the Supreme and Nike Air More Uptempo was an ode to the 1996 retro classic. The Supreme x Nike model was hyped by influencers around the world, coming in three colour ways of Gold/White, Red/White and Triple Black.

The original Air Money was a concept surrounding Nike basketball's popular Air More and Air Much models led by Reggie Miller, Ray Allen and Eddie Jones. Its unconventional shrouded flap exuded a loud '90s style. The striking "NIKE AIR" across the shroud with standout speed ghilley lacing placed alongside the foot was what made the shoes a standout during the 1997 NBA season.
