Blending Music, Art and Fashion through DIY: SOME WARE SS20 Collection

Music has always been synonymous with fashion - what started as a passion project between two friends soon became a creative brand with a multi-disciplinary approach.

Los Angeles-based brand SOME WARE initially began as a record label founded by Brendan Fowler and Cali Thornhill-Dewitt. Although the founders are renowned as multifaceted artists, they are heavily inspired by their strong roots in the music scene, working together to release a record by a band named Purity and soon creating events or parties to enjoy music as a collective. With band merchandise as a starting point, it was only natural that the two creatives would start venture into fashion, combining their artistic visual styles with the grittiness of the "underground" aesthetic that stemmed from their musical roots.

Guided by their ethos of inclusivity and environmental responsibility: "Wear often, wear rough", SOME WARE focuses on quality by producing unisex silhouettes that are durable and long-lasting. This Spring Summer 2020, SOME WARE presents a collection of long-sleeved tees and hoodies that feature Fowler and Dewitt's artistic and musical sensibilities. Each piece showcases the brand's visual identity through the conscientious use of typography, prints, graphics and its distinctive DIY aesthetic.
