CLOT welcomes CLOT x PRONOUNCE, a capsule collection with rising Chinese designer brand PRONOUNCE. Under the theme of cyclicality, the new collection celebrates the innate cultural fusion in youth-driven streetwear that defines both brands. 

Founded by rising designers Jun Zhou and Yushan Li in 2016, PRONOUNCE is focused on developing handcrafted heritage reflecting a modern wardrobe that combines elements of East and West. CLOT x PRONOUNCE presents an exciting capsule collection that first debuted at CLOT’s Spring Summer 2024 Fashion Show in Shanghai. PRONOUNCE’s collaboration with CLOT is the fruit of a years-long correspondence Zhou and Li developed with CLOT Founder and Creative Director Edison Chen.

“Like Edison, we are passionate about exploring street culture and youth culture through a Chinese lens, with the aim to preserve heritage and inspire fashion,” said Jun Zhou and Yushan Lee. “We can’t wait to see the sparks fly from our synergy. At the same time, PRONOUNCE’s flair is different from Edison’s—so this collaboration is sure to make an impact.”

Taking its theme from the ancient Chinese thought “the dome-like sky embraces the vast earth”, the collection fuses classic CLOT elements with PRONOUNCE’s visual language. The circular CLOT logo is reincarnated in tie-dyed workwear, with the circle symbolizing the cyclicality of the collection.

The capsule collection uses hand-made patchwork and tie-dye techniques to convey the effortless cool of urban fashion, complemented by soft florals and intricate details. Sporting oversized silhouettes, the pieces are made to fit all genders. Highlights include the Flower Porcelain Plate Printed Vest, printed with an oriental floral silk disc; the Bleached Color Workwear Jacket, tie-dyed with porcelain blue-and-white hues, with different fades on each jacket makes it very unique; and the Lightweight Padded Vest, crafted from a calming lake blue shell fabric and featuring circular spliced pockets for peak functionality.
