Earlier this month, CLOT began teasing the new Spring/Summer 2020 collection "TROPICAL PYRAMIDS" with a limited pre-launch of standout pieces online leading up to the official launch! This season, CLOT draws inspiration from Ancient Egypt and pays homage to the great civilisation that flourished for thousands of years.

Strongly influenced by the Ancient Egyptian's rich culture and their immense impact on culture and later civilisations, CLOT applies a contemporary approach to their designs, featuring an eclectic mix of warm and cool tones, playful patterns and layerable pieces. To illustrate the sophistication and luxurious aspects of Ancient Egyptian craftsmanship, CLOT has placed extra emphasis on textile quality and the construction of its designs by delivering elevated styles this season. The range of designs are now masterfully built from premium fabrics which are sourced and manufactured in Japan and Italy, giving an impeccable finish to the tailored designs.

A heavy use of patterns and layering is seen throughout the CLOT Spring/Summer 2020 collection that pays homage to the styling techniques used throughout ancient Egypt, from the elaborate dresses of royalty to the uniforms of slaves. Every element of clothing was consciously designed, often seemingly chaotic and confused, yet it made perfect sense to those that adorned it. The same can be said for the "TROPICAL PYRAMIDS" collection that features modern-day prints and graphics that include more obscure references right down to literal references with pyramid and palm trees.
