Malbon joins forces with CLOT, the pioneering streetwear brand founded in 2003 by Edison Chen and Kevin Poon. Harnessing the synergistic vision of both trailblazers, the collaboration weaves a vibrant tapestry where audacious street culture converges with golf’s contemporary ethos, forging an exhilarating East-meets-West synthesis.
At the core of the lineup, Malbon’s iconic Buckets logo is reimagined as a panda, a revered symbol of Chinese heritage that encapsulates CLOT’s vision to render Eastern tradition through a global lens. Running throughout the collection, patchwork plaid highlights accessories and a jacket, echoing a collage of traditions and identities. Key pieces include a reversible nylon and denim jacket that captures the spirit of duality and a mohair and wool blend gradient cardigan that serves as a textural standout.
Additionally, the Wading Jacket makes a bold impression with its striking black and red colorway, featuring a practical back pocket designed for easy storage of golf essentials. The windshirt, rendered in green and black, is heavily inspired by Malbon’s signature line, offering a back vent for optimal airflow and crafted from a soft fabric that provides lasting comfort during play. Each element reflects the intersection of Eastern and Western influences, with the panda embodying CLOT’s legacy of reinterpreting Chinese motifs with bold, modern energy while aligning with Malbon’s commitment to evolve contemporary sport.
“Edison, KPEE, and I have been friends for many years. We’ve worked on creative projects in both China and the US, so teaming up again felt natural,” says Stephen Malbon, co-founder of Malbon. “With this collection, we wanted to bring design perspectives from East and West into the world of golf. From our transformed Buckets logo to the patchwork and fabric choices, it’s about blending worlds, telling stories, and creating pieces that are ultimately about connection.”
The CLOT x Malbon collection features an extensive range of stylish T-shirts, sweaters, headwear, and golf accessories, including a golf towel, golf gloves, and a walking bag.
