EXCLUSIVE: Children of the Discordance JUICESTORE RELEASE
Hideaki Shikama uses all types of inspiration in the materialization of his brand, Children of the Discordance. The brand’s pieces revolve around an appreciation and admiration for old-school ‘90s hip-hop street culture and music. The Japanese imprint fabrics were upcycled from Hideaki Shikama’s personal archive of vintage fabrics garnered over many years of searching and collecting. Children of the Discordance has become a brand that streetwear enthusiasts and hip-hop heads alike must be on the lookout for, having been worn by Offset, a renowned rapper of the hip-hop group Migos.
There have been previous instances in which Japanese-based brands have used the quintessential paisley design. Including previous collaboration between CLOT and MIYAGIHIDETAKA, which comprised of exclusive paisley shirts in four different colorways. As well as Rogic and its culmination of the paisley bandana print pants, endorsed by big industry names like Virgil Abloh, and artists such as Young Thug, Futura, and more.
What these Japanese brands have seemingly brought out in the west, is the previous love in the industry for old-school pieces which are reminiscent of ’90s era hip-hop. Children of the Discordance has chosen CLOT for an exclusive release only available in its JUICE stores, which includes the brand's iconic paisley bandana printed shirt and bucket hat. The shirt encompasses a range of alluring colored paisley fabrics, varying from white to multiple hues of purple and blue. The bucket hat entices any onlookers with the piece's blue, light blue and white tones.
