CLOTTEE by CLOT is thrilled to reveal its upcoming Fall Winter 2023 collection inspired by the great Chinese city of Xi'an. Xi'an was the first capital city of China, being the home of 13 dynasties and encapsulating thousands of years worth of history. At the same time, Xi'an is an ever-advancing metropolis that continues to grow whilst preserving its culture-rich history.

This year’s CLOTTEE Fall Winter collection embraces the spirit of the city by merging heritage with modernity. Pieces take inspiration from traditional elements like dragon scales, and ink-wash paintings as well as contemporary designs such as techwear, and raw material finishes.

A highlight of this collection is the Dragon CLOTTEE tee. Featuring an oversized fit, and a washed material finish, this shirt’s worn-in look pays homage to the city’s aging but preserved historical structures. In addition, the CLOTTEE graphic itself is inspired by the scales of Chinese dragons. In dynastic China, adorning dragons was a privilege only limited to emperors, giving this design element a rare and special status.

Influenced by the bricks of Xi'an’s ancient city walls, the patchwork worker jacket and military pants are certain to stand out in any outfit. Honoring the historical structure, these pieces are constructed from numerous blue-tone patches in various patterns and textures.

Adorned throughout the collection is a CLOTTEE jacquard label inspired by the unique artistic style of Chinese ink-wash paintings. Stitched into the label are overlapping mountains, blue swirl cloud patterns, and a warm yellow sky, resulting in a captivating backdrop. This tasteful label adds a pop of color to more neutral pieces, such as the Nylon Panel Hat and Twill Worker Jacket.

The CLOTTEE Fall Winter 2023 collection pays homage to Xi'an’s culture-rich history as well as its ability to keep that history alive in an ever-evolving environment.
