For Chinese New Year 2026, adidas Originals and CLOT by Edison Chen come together to celebrate Chinese cultural heritage through a collection and campaign that unite symbolism, craftsmanship, and contemporary expression.  

Just as the New Year celebrates unlocking good fortune, the adidas Originals x CLOT Chinese New Year 2026 campaign embraces the idea of unlocking limitless possibilities. For the first time, Edison Chen steps into the anime universe as a visionary key master, designing keys that open doors to hidden potential and future opportunities. This marks the first chapter in Edison’s evolving story, a multi-part anime series creatively directed by Chen, set to unfold throughout the year, with special guests joining him along the way.

 Drawing from the Year of the Horse, a symbol of vitality, strength, and unbridled spirit, these motifs are woven throughout the collection, honoring tradition while advancing adidas’ legacy of innovation. Referencing Zodiac and kung fu, Chen created a harmonious blend of Chinese and Western cultural elements, woven seamlessly throughout the collection. The outcome is a unified expression of craftsmanship, performance sensibility, and contemporary streetwear design. 

For the Chinese New Year collection, adidas Originals and CLOT celebrate Chinese cultural heritage through a footwear and apparel range shaped by symbolism, craftsmanship, and contemporary expression. Drawing from the Year of the Horse, a symbol of vitality, strength, and unbridled spirit, these motifs are woven throughout the collection, honoring tradition while advancing adidas’ legacy of innovation. Referencing Zodiac and kung fu, Chen created a harmonious blend of Chinese and Western cultural elements, woven seamlessly throughout the collection. The outcome is a unified expression of craftsmanship, performance sensibility, and contemporary streetwear design.

At the heart of the collection stands the CLOT Superstar Dress Shoe, a premium reinterpretation of an Originals icon. Its cowhide horse-print base upper directly references the Year of the Horse, complemented by a leather shell toe, cotton laces with gold lace tips, stitched 3-Stripes, and leather tassels. Leather continues through the lining and midsole, while a rubber outsole grounds the silhouette in everyday functionality without compromising its elevated aesthetic. 

Alongside these symbolic references, the collection also draws from the elegance, discipline, and movement of kung fu. The CLOT Qi Flow is an example of this fluid blend of these heritage design codes, with the nylon upper, satin collar, pearl and frog-button closures, and an espadrille-inspired outsole delivering a silhouette that bridges traditional craft with contemporary lifestyle footwear.

Apparel extends the narrative through pieces where martial art silhouettes intersect with Western tailoring influences. The CLOT Track Jacket, crafted from 100% cotton twill, features a Mandarin collar, frog buttons, Western-inspired deco accents across the back, rounded zip pockets, and rope-detailed applied 3-Stripes. Its counterpart, a reimagined Beckenbauer Track Pant, includes a custom LNY woven label and herringbone elastic stirrups introducing a sense of motion, discipline, and precision to the ensemble.  

Outerwear elevates the storytelling through a quilted, multi-texture lens with the CLOT Jacket, built from quilted crinkle nylon and insulated with PrimaLoft Gold Synthetic Fill Down. Chen’s selected favorite of the collection, where he meticulously arranged the stripes to form a distinctive collar pattern – subtly differentiating it from the norm while paying homage to the iconic Chinese down jacket silhouette. A refined satin lining, satin braided rope, Concho button closure, further echoing CLOT’s signature motifs, and dual snap-button hand pockets create a piece that feels both ceremonial and utilitarian.

The CLOT Chinese New Year Collection by Edison Chen will be available globally on January 31, 2026, at the CLOT CHINESE NEW YEAR POP-UP (FASHION WALK, CAUSEWAY BAY) and selected JUICE retail channels, JUICE ONLINE WeChat Mini Program, and JUICESTORE.com globally.
