EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE BRINGS CALI DELIGHTS WITH SS22 COLLECTION
A brand created to light the hearts of hopeless romantics who are all about feels, Emotionally Unavailable’s co-founder, KB Lee, has introduced a Spring Summer 2022 collection running with elements drawn from the Cali lifestyle as he spends time in his L.A. home.
Take a glance at the range, and graphics in colors and fonts evoking carnival adventures will undoubtedly draw your attention. The Balloon Boy motif, for example, makes its presence on casual shirts, long-sleeved tees and T-shirts, while the EU brand name appears in red wavy scripts sweatshirts and shorts.
Rodeo thrills, meanwhile, take the form of bandana prints, featuring entwined illustrations of cowboys on horses against starry nights, and ropes outlining the brand’s iconic dripping heart logo. There are also patches and graphics inspired by the car and motor culture, appearing on pieces including the back of a work jacket.
This season, Lee was also particularly drawn into creating cut-and-sew pieces using textiles and prints from the collection. Key highlights include the liberty patterns, which have been made into patchwork caps and more to deliver a delicate contrast to the effortlessly cool range.
