Chanel’s “Mademoiselle Privé" Exhibition Makes a Splash in Hong Kong

Chanel’s “Mademoiselle Privé" has landed in Hong Kong, following successful shows in London in 2015 and in Seoul last year. An immersive look into the origins and sources of inspiration for Chanel’s designs, the exhibition showcases both Gabrielle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld’s personality and style, while displaying what they’ve brought to the iconic fashion house. The newly designed exhibition concept features extensive looks at Chanel’s haute couture program, as reinvented by Karl Lagerfeld; the home of Chanel on 31 rue Cambon in Paris; the iconic Chanel No. 5 and more.

Attendees will also be able to enrol into workshops. Starting on the 19th, there will be a Lemarié feather and flower creation workshop until the 25th, and then a N°5 workshop from January 26 to February 1.

Of course, no Chanel event is without a huge celebration. Ringing in “Mademoiselle Privé" was a huge party that saw a performance by none other than Pharrell and a DJ set by Nigo. Other Chanel ambassadors who flew in included Irene Kim, Soo Joo Park and Kaia Gerber.

Located at PMQ, the show will run for four weeks until February 10. Admission is free, but you’ll need to register online or through its app. Limited spaces are available, so click here for more information. Get an exclusive inside look at the exhibition in our video above.
